About the Presenters

Aran Loftus has practiced public accounting since 2007. He provides auditing, accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting services to numerous companies in the financial institutions industry, focusing on credit unions and community banks. Aran devotes half the year to auditing financial institutions. His remaining time is spent provided consulting services to financial institutions on internal controls, credit quality and loan documentation reviews, lending operation reviews, and validating allowance for loan and lease loss methodologies.  Prior to joining Moss Adams, Aran worked as a registered representative and held FINRA Series 4, 6, 7, and 63 licenses and served in back office operations roles for a retail brokerage house.

Dustin Birashk has practiced public accounting since 1999 and specializes in serving financial institutions including credit unions, community banks, thrifts, mutual banks, SEC banks, mortgage banking companies, and other financial services organizations. He’s proficient with opinion audits, supervisory committee agreed-upon procedures engagements, and other technical matters.   Dustin is a member of both the AICPA Credit Union Conference and Technical Accounting Committees. He’s actively involved in the firm’s Financial Services Practice and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including ACUIA and CUNA. He also authors articles for firm and industry publications.
