For those of you who use Verafin, what access have you set up for users, such as Compliance/Fraud, IS, and Internal Audit (or others)? For those who allow unrestricted access to IS (i.e, if they have 'Administration' Role), any concerns about them having access to sensitive items such as SAR's?

Hi everyone,I have been asked to poll the group as to how you handle federal income tax refund checks that are made payable to 2 parties. Specifically what do you do for those that want to deposit into a single member account (one of the 2 endorsers does not sign on the account). And why do you do it that way. Assume both signatures are on the back of the check and only 1 is presenting the check.ThanksBeverly Mcmahon, Century Federal Credit Union
Can we use an address received per a "Return Service Requested" stamp from the Post Office to mail a Closed Account Verification letter ? This would be the second mailing. The 1st was made to the address in our system. The account is masked and the letter asks for the form to be returned ONLY if the member did NOT close the account.Thank you, Kim

How do credit unions with service organizations (CUSO) handle the oversight by the Audit/Supervisory Committee? Besides the responsibility for the consolidated financial statements, should the committee have additional oversight over the CUSO? Your feedback is appreciated!
- Do you offer Overdraft Protection (paying an item into the negative) for a fee?
- Do you monitor the number of items paid or amount of fees paid to determine excessive use?
- How many items or fees do you consider excessive?
- Over what period of time? (per month/per year, etc)
- Are NSF items included in the excessive count?
- Once you have identified an account has “excessive” Overdraft Protection usage, what do you do? (send a letter, call the Member, stop paying the items, suggest a loan, suggest credit counseling, etc)
