Adding a new Supervisory Committee Member

Does anyone know if a realtor is prohibited from serving on a SC? Or are there best practice suggestions out there anywhere? My concern in adding a realtor is the perception of them having exclusive access to the CU or getting insider information on strategic plans, lending policies etc. that they could financially benefit from.
