Has anyone developed a branch audit scorecard? I am looking to update our branch audit reporting.
What I am envisioning is a table in an executive summary of a branch audit report that would provide a quick snapshot of the branch’s performance related to areas reviewed (e.g., night deposits, loan funding, new account opening/CIP, branch inventory, cash balancing, self-audits, etc.). Moreover, I am thinking of something along the lines of a report card from when we were in elementary school:
Math – S
Science – N
Social Studies – S
Accounting – U
S = Satisfactory
N = Needs Improvement
U = Unsatisfactory
Creating the table and areas to be assessed is easy enough. I think most of the time spent will be defining the individual attributes evaluated in a specific area (such as instant issue debit cards: card balancing, dual control, documentation, etc.) and developing an objective system for evaluating (scoring) each area.
I am just curious if anyone has done anything like this, and if so, would you be willing to share what you have?
