Fixed Assets

We are $1.5B in assets. Do any similar sized or larger CU's place bar code tags on their fixed assets? If so, what is your minimum $ threshold? What type of assets?

We currently tag all items greater than $250 for personal property tax purposes and insurance purposes, but are reviewing the process for efficiencies. Right now our Accounting dept scans and films each location every 3 years and our department picks a sample of larger assets to trace to the inventory listing during out branch audits.

Any information you can provide on your CU's process is appreciated.
