Generating old statements after core conversion

We converted to a new core system back in 2014. We have all our statements archived from before and after the conversion, but occasionally we receive a request from a member for an old statement that did not generate for some reason or another. We still have the capability to access our old core system, so we just fire up that server and generate that statement. However, we don't want to keep doing this for a system that we no longer support and we'd like to free up those servers for other use. So my question is, has anyone encountered this problem before? To give a more specific example, let's say that for some reason a member's statement did not generate in 2013. There was just some sort of error and it didn't generate. Then in 2017 the member gets audited by the IRS and requests a copy of that statement. We go back into our old system, generate the statement and provide it to them. If we no longer have the capability to access the old system, we will not be able to do this. This does not happen frequently, only about once every couple of months. We do have archived account history and can provide the member that information, but of course it's not technically a statement. How long have you kept access to the old system after you did a core conversion? Any thoughts would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
