IA Administrative Reporting to CEO

Good Morning,
I was looking for anyone that has experience with IA reporting administratively to the CEO and would be willing to share examples of what the CEO has authority over. I have a situation where the CEO wants to change my job title, which would signify a demotion, without it actually being a demotion. The SC is not in agreement, but not sure what they can do. Any guidance or help would be awesome.
