Mortgage Title Insurance policies

Our loan servicing department tracks title insurance policies for closed mortgages. Our new LOS does not have a way to do this, however they do have a mitigating control in place where they ensure they have the Committment for Title from the attorney in the closing documents. They receive the policy with the recorded mortgage and have never had an issue with receiving them. They are asking us if they can rely on the Committment for Title instead of having to go to a manual process for tracking the actual policies. I am looking for opinions/input for this request, any help would be appreciated.
