Negative account charge-offs.

I am looking for input on how your credit union handles negative accounts that are being charged off. Are they reported to ChexSystem and/or a credit bureau? If you use ChexSystem, please provide feedback from a cost-benefit perspective. Any input is appreciated. Thank you very much!
