Hello,
At our Credit Union, when a member opens up an account, they have one account number followed by two digits for any subaccounts they open. For example a member can have a savings and checking subaccounts and they will have the same account number but the last two digits will be different (ex: account 11222-00 is savings account, 11222-90 is a checking account).
For any other Credit Unions that have a similar account numbering system, do you require a member to sign a new membership application for new subaccounts that are added or is the initial application sufficient. For example, if a member open a savings account one month, they are required to sign a membership application. If they want to add a checking account two months later, do you require a new membership application to be signed or can the subaccount be added without a new signed application?
Thanks,
Karen
