How are you currently handling past due audit issues, and issues that continue to receive due date extensions without evidence that the issue is being worked on? We have had a couple of issues receive multiple due date extensions with the only comment being 'I haven't had time to work on it'. I'm wondering what other FI's are doing to reign in this type of activity. Do you have procedures or parameters to deal with this, such as giving a number of due date extensions that management can utilize at their discretion before being reported past due?
