Would anyone be willing to share their procedures and possibly templates for their Request for Proposal Process? I am trying to standardize the process so that Internal Audit controls the RFP, not the business owner. I am especially interested if you define roles in your procedure.
For example,
Who sets the scope?
Who checks references?
What part does the business owner play in the process? Consult on the selection of the firm or not involved?
How much due diligence is performed on the auditor? (i.e. validating education and experience, checking references)
When to obtain an NDA - at what point in the process.
