Hey everyone, I'm completing an audit on remote deposit capture and have had a few questions arise that I don't have the answer to. Any help would be appreciated.
1. When a member makes a duplicate deposit and the CU has to reverse one of them out, do you send the member a notification? Is there any requirement to do so?
2. Does your CU have a daily dollar or transaction limit on remote deposits that can be processed for one account? Is there any guidance on such limits?
3. Our CU restricts certain accounts from RDC upon opening based on account type and credit history. After 60 days a review of the account is done to determine if the account can have the restriction removed. Does your CU do anything similar and if so what, if any, further steps are taken after the 60 day review if it is determined that the restriction needs to remain in place? Do you have another review at 120 days or any other time? Or do you just leave it and only address it if the member brings it up?
