Hello everyone - I am just starting out as a credit union internal auditor, and I have been asked to facilitate the ERM process.  While I understand that software can help organize the process, I would like to obtain a better understanding of the underlying process and theory.  Is anyone aware of any books/resources that explain the process in detail?  In addition, do the software programs provide a "warehouse" of potential risks (i.e. the "what could go wrong" questions) which need to be addressed via risk management?  Any feedback on this topic would be extremely helpful.  As a side note, let me say that this message board is really great -- I'm really impressed by how much everyone helps each other.
