Hi. Our Lending Policy indicates that we will obtain a professional appraisal report by a state certified or licensed appraiser if the transaction is over $250,000.00. Our Policy Committee would like to know if it is necessary to have the wording stated as "state certified or licensed". When would we use a state certified rather than a licensed or vice versa. Any input is appreciated.

We use a third party appraisal firm.  They approved appraisers and select the appraiser for the job.  During an appraisal review what questions should I ask this company, or what areas should I review to help verify the indepence and integrity of the the appraisal firm. ThanksTim

As part of supervision of wire transfer process, does your management monitor wire transfer process by doing recurring (e.g. monthly) audits? - (similar to branch management monitoring their cash by doing monthly cash counts).

Monthly, our Credit Union mgmt does random, unannounced checks of wire transfer daily work. If your Credit Union does this also, do you have an "audit form" used by management that you can share?

How does your Credit Union report # members on your call report?  During an audit of the Call Report, we have noted that we report number share savings accounts.  The call report instructions state to report the number of members, not number of accounts.  Do you report the actual number of members?  If so, how do you define members? Thanks Patrick McColloughArkansas Federal Credit Union
