I am not too familiar with the reporting of negative accounts. Our Collections Department, only reports to one agency. They report to TeleCheck or send to District Attorney. However, there is no follow through with the DA. If they are sent to the DA, are they not able to send these accts to TeleCheck? My concern is that if they are not being  reported, they could go and do the same to another credit union.

HI allI am in the process of competing my Wire audit and I see that we have an EUAC who is also designated as a Funds Supervisor. I am thinking this may be a security conflict but can find nothing in the FRB Documentation stating what access an EUAC should have. Our other EUAC's do not have this access. How are your EUAC's set up? any help would be appreciated.

For those of you that use Fedline Advantage for wire transfers, what do you review for 3rd party due diligence?

Has anyone completed a 401k audit?  I've done this at the previous auditing firm I worked at, but not since I've been working at my new credit union.  I will be looking to recalculate employee contributions, employer contributions and making sure deposits are allocated correctly.  Along with all the accounting aspects involved. Does anyone have an audit plan they would be willing to share?  This should serve as a guide to get all my ideas onto paper. Thanks in advance!Jeff D.jdubey@michcathcu.org

I know there's no requirement to have a CPA or someone who "could" be designated as a "financial expert" on the Supervisory Committtee, but I'm curious what everyone thinks about this being a "best practice".

Is your Internal Audit Department responsible for facilitating the NCUA Exam (credit union contact, client assistance list etc). If not Internal Audit, who is responsible for the Exam process?

We are in the process of working with Branch Admin to spruce up their Monthly Branch Self Audit Worksheet.  For those of you whose branches have such a document, could you forward me what it looks like, to scapuano@sunmarkfcu.org? Thanks!

Am wondering how many or if any CUs are planning to discontinue offering International Electronic Transfers (WT, ACH, Western Union, etc.) when the new Remittance Disclosure Requirement becomes effective Feb 2013.Also wanting to know, for those who will continue offering the services, how your CU will be able to comply with the disclosure requirements....using an outside vendor to manage the operations...exhange rates, fees, taxes, error resolutions, 24/7 contact availability, etc.....heidin@fortbraggfcu.org
