Hello all -- I am a brand new credit union internal auditor in the process of building a formal IA function. I noticed that Sheshunoff publishes an Internal Auditing Manual for Credit Unions. Does anyone have experience with this publication? If so, is it a worthwhile purchase, or does it mostly duplicate information available in the ACUARP audit guide? I am hoping that some of the experienced internal auditors on this board can provide some feedback. Scott Adams Link to delete content:

Hello All~I have been asked to provide peer-to-peer numbers to support the need to replace a retiring staff member. I am looking for other credit unions with somewhwere around 1.5 to 2.5 B in assets. If you could provide the number of FTEs in your Audit Department, along with total FTEs at your CU, and whether or not internal audit provides the mortgage QC function that would be very helpful. Thanks! I was wondering if anyone has a Non-deposit Investment Product audit program that they would be willing to share. Also, I was wondering if you have any advice with regard to signage/seperation. We have three branches. The rep is housed out of one branch, but travels to the other two and meets with clients in empty offices in those branches. Any guidance you have regarding separation/signage required even if he is only at these locations occasionally. We recently contracted with a third party to offer these services at our credit union and would like to ensure we get off to a proper s Link to delete content:

Our Board of Directors has a secure website that they log into to download monthly Board Reports and other information. We are looking at putting Internal/External Audit and Exam reports on the site for the Supervisory Committee. Is there any reason or rule that prohibits the whole Board from having access to these reports? What is your opinion on allowing full Board Access?Thank you for your comments,Dale Link to delete content:

This post would be for those credit union's with an asset size of 125 - 250 million. I would like to know if your Supervisory Committee members are allowed to assist with or do smaller audits to help out? We are a $138 million shop, with 7 branches and a 1 person Audit Department (me). My SC Chair would like to have the group go into the branches to conduct surprise cash count audits. I would like to know your asset size; the number of branches you have, and how you go about keeping your Supervisory Committee grounded? Thank you in advance for any assistance. Hello everyone - I am just starting out as a credit union internal auditor, and I have been asked to facilitate the ERM process. While I understand that software can help organize the process, I would like to obtain a better understanding of the underlying process and theory. Is anyone aware of any books/resources that explain the process in detail? In addition, do the software programs provide a "warehouse" of potential risks (i.e. Link to delete content:
